Come experiment with screen printing in this hands-on workshop with interdisciplinary artist and educator Claudia Cano. Participants will develop their own designs and explore DIY printing techniques using accessible and alternative materials— all while creating, sharing ideas, and learning alongside one another in the beautiful garden at Art Produce.
Claudia Cano is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and community-engaged practitioner based in San Diego. Working across printmaking, textiles, photography, performance, and social practice, her work explores themes of migration, identity, belonging, and cultural exchange.
This free workshop is provided by Space 4 Art and sponsored by The Prebys Foundation. The Arts Ecosystem grant aims to bring more art funding to the San Diego Art Economy. The grant is part of the Prebys Foundation’s 2025 Emergency Arts Investment, which responds to significant challenges facing the region’s arts sector, including federal and state funding cuts, rising operational costs, and the need to preserve vital community spaces for creativity.
