Poetry Reading with Bryttney-Mischele Salvant

  • Art Produce Garden 3139 University Avenue San Diego, CA, 92104 United States (map)

Join Bryttney-Mischele Salvant for an intimate afternoon of poetry, storytelling, and reflection in the beautiful Art Produce Garden, celebrating the release of her new book, The Way Roots Grow. The event will feature a live poetry reading followed by a book signing.

The Way Roots Grow is the culmination of over a decade of poetry and three years of Bryttney’s Black All Year series. The book reflects on identity, resilience, and collective memory.

Bryttney-Mischele Salvant (She/They) is a surreal expressionist artist whose interdisciplinary practice bridges visual art, poetry, and collaborative experience to illuminate Black excellence through lived experience. In 2020, she founded Poetic Artistry, a transformative platform dedicated to representation, cultural storytelling, and social justice.

Now based at Space 4 Art, Bryttney-Mischele continues to create immersive, interdisciplinary work that challenges systemic inequities and centers empowerment within the BIPOC community.
