Multidisciplinary artist and printmaker Irene Zepeda, creator of Por La Mano Press, leads Print Passport on Saturday, March 21 from 1–3 p.m. at Abrazos Art Studio— a hands-on workshop where participants create a passport-style zine using found-object stamping, textile textures, and simple relief printing.
Through playful, accessible stations, attendees explore touch, repetition, and personal mark-making, leaving with a completed mini-zine and deeper understanding of printmaking as an intuitive, expressive practice.
Irene Zepeda is a multidisciplinary artist and printmaker whose work is rooted in relief printmaking, mixed media, and community-based art practices. Their work explores themes of memory, healing, nature, and cultural lineage, and they approach art-making as a tool for connection, reflection, and collective care.
This free workshop is provided by Space 4 Art and sponsored by The Prebys Foundation. The Arts Ecosystem grant aims to bring more art funding to the San Diego Art Economy. The grant is part of the Prebys Foundation’s 2025 Emergency Arts Investment, which responds to significant challenges facing the region’s arts sector, including federal and state funding cuts, rising operational costs, and the need to preserve vital community spaces for creativity.
