Bring your hands— we bring the drums!
This beginner-friendly, all-levels workshop led by Drummers Without Borders introduces rhythm, drums, and percussion through hands-on, collective play. Participants who attend the first session on Feb. 7 will continue together on Feb. 14 and 21, building rhythm, connection, and shared sound over three Saturdays.
Founded in San Diego in 2004 by Felix Díaz, Silvio Díaz, and Abril Díaz, Drummers Without Borders uses rhythm and percussion to bring people together through music, education, and community engagement. Their work centers on accessible, beginner-friendly experiences that encourage creativity, connection, and collective expression.
This free workshop is provided by Space 4 Art and sponsored by The Prebys Foundation. The Arts Ecosystem grant aims to bring more art funding to the San Diego Art Economy. The grant is part of the Prebys Foundation’s 2025 Emergency Arts Investment, which responds to significant challenges facing the region’s arts sector, including federal and state funding cuts, rising operational costs, and the need to preserve vital community spaces for creativity.
