Sewing As Activism!

  • Sew Loka 2113 Logan Ave., Ste. B San Diego, CA, 92113 United States (map)

We’re excited to kick off our Arts Ecosystem grant from Prebys Foundation with a tote-making workshop led by artist Claudia Rodriguez-Biezunski of Sew Loka!

This hands-on class will take place at Claudia’s shop (2113 Logan Ave., Ste. B, San Diego) on Friday, November 21, from 6–8 PM. The event is part of Fall of Freedom, a nationwide, artist-powered movement happening November 21–22. In challenging times, creativity is an act of resistance, and upcycling precious resources together is a powerful form of solidarity!

During the workshop, participants will learn how to create their own tote using recycled and reclaimed fabrics. Slow fashion is growing— and this is a great way to jump in.

UPDATE: All 15 spots for this class have now been filled!
