"The Giving Tree" Featured Among KPBS’ Top 10 San Diego Weekend Arts Picks

KPBS Arts & Culture reporter and host Julia Dixon Evans included Space 4 Art’s new exhibition, The Giving Tree, among her “Top 10 San Diego weekend arts picks” for this weekend.

The article highlights the exhibition’s exploration of our complicated relationship with the natural world, featuring work by Andrea Chung, Jeanne Dunn, Melanie Taylor, Jennifer Ann Bennett, Sien Collective, scott b. davis, and Ruth Wallen, and curated by MCASD’s Jill Dawsey. Evans also notes the exhibition’s playful-but-critical relationship to Shel Silverstein’s beloved children’s book.

The Giving Tree opens this Saturday, August 29, with a reception from 5–8 p.m. at Art Produce Gallery, including a poetry reading. The exhibition will remain on view through September 26.
