Experimental dance filmmaker Adriene Hughes will screen several short films and hold a Q & A on October 5th at 8 pm. Discussion will include subjects like scouting performers, collaborating with choreographers, conceptualization, and distribution of finished projects. Each screening will explore the perception and interpretation of movement and how our own construction of it can be ever-changing.
Choreographer, Summer Jones, will be present to discuss her approach to working with a filmmaker, what it means for her to engage in the dance process off-stage, and how one prepares for movement on film.
