GRAN FANDANGO Y FRANCACHELA DE TODAS LAS CALAVERAS!(Grand Dance Party of all the Skeletons)

A joyous celebration of Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos
Created by the San Diego Guild of Puppetry and Drummers Without Borders

A multimedia event, complete with a giant ofrenda, drumming, dancing, world music, food and drink of the season (including Mexican hot chocolate, tamales and pan de muerto) an assortment of art making activities(face painting, mask making, puppet calaca creating), an exhibit exploring Dia de los Muertos traditions and the legacy of noted Mexican printmaker/political satirist, Jose Guadalupe Posada (1851-1913), whose artwork graces our flier, and more!  The evening's festivities will be capped by a giant puppet procession, led by multitalented, bilingual puppet artist/ musician Felix Diaz. 
Come in costume, or create a mask to wear on site that night.

A Fundraiser with all proceeds going to support our arts programming in underserved schools and communities.

Minimum $5 Suggested donation

Planned to take place on and around the outdoor stage, so bring a sweater if the weather should turn cold. (In case of rain, we'll move everything inside)
