Stephanie Lie is an artist, computer programmer and educator. Her work oscillates between new technologies and traditional Asian aesthetics to produce objects and performances of spare elegance. These objects and performances expand to produce social interactions of subtle instigations surrounding questions of mechanic production and human subjectivity. Her work has been featured at the San Diego Museum of Art, the New Children’s Museum, and the Nevada Museum of Art. Stephanie received a B.A. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Art Practice from UC Berkeley, and an M.F.A in Visual Arts from UC San Diego.
